Can Astrology Predict Demise?
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Astrology is a pseudoscience that studies the influence that celestial objects and their relevant positions have on human lives. It is believed that the position of the planets, sun, moon, and stars at the time of the birth of a person shapes their nature, affects their relationships, and predicts their future.
There is no single universal theory of astrology. Through the years, the ancient cultures have developed their forms of it, which eventually has evolved to today’s concept of astrology. Astrology mostly makes use of the natal chart (horoscope or birth chart) as a window to the person or events.
As per research and some famous astrologers, though no particular or unique method in astrology can predict death, it can indicate when an extreme or a life-changing experience is likely to occur. It is believed that it is not just one bad thing or one factor that leads to the event of demise, but a multitude of elements and factors cause it. Based on the positions of the planets, the Dasha, and the Sub-Dasha, one can tell that death may occur.
As per astrology, the planets that affect death are Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and the Sun. Each planet and its position with the sun can indicate different things. For instance, it is believed that Venus has the power to ease suffering, while Jupiter can slow demise. Mars can cause demise, which is sudden and traumatic, while when Neptune is activated one may pass away in sleep.
In Hindu Astrology, Maraka refers to the planets that cause the end of life. During their Dasha, even if life does not get over, they can cause an accident, illness, poverty, or misery. The sun and the moon, and the lord of the 9th house do not become the marakas. It is the lord of the 2nd and the 7th houses or the destructive planets that are the primary causes of demise.
Many people do not believe in astrology, and a large number of people do. In such situations, it becomes really important to listen and to respect each other’s points of view than to loathe. Belief and hope are constant for all of us, just in different forms.
