Kanlog Crematorium is one of Shimla's five old cemeteries, and it offers a peaceful atmosphere. At the gate, which is located 20 meters off the south bypass road on a sharp bend, you can request entrance to the cemetery. The walk down from the Shimla Ridge takes around 40 minutes but the walk back is steep and takes much longer. There are hundreds of graves of old Shimla colonial residents inside the cemetery gates. Beyond the chapel, the graveyard becomes more wilder as you go on.
