Here is the method adopted by our transportation team.

1. Obtaining clearance for collecting and airlifting the remains -

Sending the remains back to the native country is quite a responsible task. Therefore, the foreign administration (embassy and consulate general) plays a main role in granting the permit. After a primary examination of the provided details, the responsible head department of the Dubai embassy provides a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the team or family members for collecting the remains.

The local area police and other authorities also verify the documents before handing over the remains to the funeral direction team. If death occurs due to any unnatural reason, the local area police will send the body for the postmortem process.

2. Collecting the mandatory reports, certificates, and documents -

With the help of the list provided by our team, the family can complete the documentation procedure within a certain time limit. Here the the papers that play the main role in getting a permit for further steps in dead body shifting.

• Death Certificate with all the details linked with the demise and the deceased person.
• Postmortem report if asked by the police
• No objection certificate (NOC)
• Embalming reports, signed by the senior authority of the embalming center
• Certificate for coffin box
• No communicable disease certificate granted by the Health & Sanitation Department of Dubai
• Passport of the deceased person for cancellation process by Dubai authority
• Original IDs of the deceased person (stating resident of Oman)
• IDs of the family members who are accompanying the human remains in the dead body shifting
• Consent letter signed by the family members of the deceased
• Clearance from the police authority
• Human Remains Customs Clearance from the airport authority of Dubai
• Details of the booked 'air cargo' and flight tickets
• Proof of residence in Dubai - bills of water, electricity etc or hotel tickets if the deceased was staying temporarily in Dubai.

The family should have photocopies of each document as at different points they will be asked to submit it in Dubai. The team helps by providing 8-10 copies of each essential document.

3. Keeping the deceased body safe through embalming & other medical facilities -

Along with the paperwork, another significant task of the dead body shipping is ensuring the safety of the remains and preventing them from any kind of damage. For local transportation, the team books an ambulance facility, keeps the body in a cooling cabinet and sends it for the embalming process.

In a few communities, it is prohibited to offer embalming services to the dead body. Hence the team seeks permission from the family before shifting the body to a certified embalming center.

In embalming, the dead body fluid is replaced by the chemical material that keeps the organs and skin of the dead body safe and fresh for several days.

4. Two-way air cargo services in airlifting the remains -
